Meet Our 2020 Winners

Allison Moore

Allison is our 2020 scholarship winner. She was delivered by our very own Dr. Ken Ostermann and Certified Nurse-Midwife Cindy Stippich right here in Beaver Dam. In Fall 2020, Allison will pursue her passion for Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with aspirations of earning an advanced degree in the future. She is motivated to help find a cure for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and hopes to make a lasting impact on the population’s legacy.

Grace Caine

Grace is one of two achievement award winners. She was delivered by Dr. Ken Ostermann, right here in Beaver Dam. This fall, she will attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to study Instrumental Music Education. Grace’s dream is to become a middle school band teacher who works with beginner music students.

Maricella Prado

Maricella is another achievement award winner. She was delivered by our very own Cindy Stippich, right here in Beaver Dam. Maricella is passionate about the field of Nursing, as she has experienced the pain of losing a parent and watching another parent battle cancer. This fall, she will attend Moraine Park Technical College. She looks forward to becoming a nurse who will give her patients the strength to keep fighting.

High School Seniors! You could win a $1,000/year college scholarship (for up to four years) if you attend school and live in the Beaver Dam area.

Fill out the form below and submit your short essay to be entered to win! New this year—we are accepting a résumé or list highlighting extracurricular involvement and employment. Enter now—this contest starts February 1, 2020, and ends May 15, 2020. The winner will be announced in early June!

Please answer the following question with a short essay. There is no word limit, and answers will be evaluated based on the quality of your response and how well it relates to your intended field of study and academic goals.

What are your plans for education after high school and how do you hope to use your education to make the world a better place?

Requirements to enter
Applicants must:

  • Be a current high school senior at a public or private high school within 15 miles of Beaver Dam
  • Have primary residence within 15 miles of Beaver Dam
  • Provide a current transcript from your high school**
  • Submit a short essay in response to the question above
  • *Agree to terms and conditions of scholarship - Entrants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian print this form and mail it to Beaver Dam Women's Health
  • The winner must provide a transcript or proof of good academic standing from their college or technical school each fall in order to receive scholarship funds in subsequent years
  • Agree to an interview with the Beaver Dam Women's Health team (winner and/or finalists only)
  • Winner and/or finalists will be expected to be available in late-May for photographs (if unavailable, please let us know in your application)
