Scholarships will be awarded to one or more Beaver Dam-area high school seniors

Beaver Dam, WI – February 1, 2018 – Beaver Dam Women’s Health has announced its 2018 scholarship contest. One or more Beaver Dam-area high school seniors will be selected, and each winner is eligible to win up to $4,000 in scholarship funds.

The annual scholarship contest is open to high school seniors who live and attend a public or private high school within 15 miles of Beaver Dam, including the communities of Waupun, Columbus, and Horicon. Recipients can use the scholarship money for post-high school education, whether at a four-year college or technical school.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants complete a brief form and write a short essay describing their college plans and how they intend to use their education to make the world a better place. Full details and the application information is available on the Beaver Dam Women’s Health website or call the clinic at 920-645- 0900.

Dr. Ken Ostermann, the co-founder of Beaver Dam Women’s Health and a skilled surgeon, explained what the scholarship contest means to the practice. “The Beaver Dam community is very important to Beaver Dam Women’s Health, and we stay involved in as many ways as we can. We not only care for our women patients and residents in the greater Beaver Dam area, but also support local young people who will be the productive and forward-thinking leaders of our future. Our annual scholarship contest is one way we can encourage the aspiring youth within our community and provide financial support as they pursue higher education and prepare for their future careers.”

The deadline for applications to the clinic is April 15, 2018. Winner(s) will be announced in early May.
